Kids - Duncan, leaving Natalie & Richard to mourn, Aimee
leaving Cindy to mourn, Big Meaty leaving Wade to mourn,
Christmas Candy leaving Tom & Colleen to mourn.
Foster
care families do a fantastic job evaluating, loving, letting
go to make room for another. Once they adopt out a fur-kid
that permits them to take in another to foster. We need more
GREAT foster homes as more fur-kids are at risk in kill
shelters.
Good
Samaritan Care Center visits were Remington Steele, Hercules
(with Char), Chaos (wit Jo Anne).
Adoptions
began with Charlotte, Winniferd & Rambo leaving from the
Sanctuary, Lancelot leaving foster care from Andrea, ChaCha
leaving foster care from Char, Kendal leaving foster care
from Judy V, Chaos left her home for a new home.
Cole
Camp pound began the month empty. Then it quickly began to
fill, one young black chow male mix, then 8 puppies left in
a plastic tub at the locked pound gate. Thanks to Howard
Fence Co., Mayor of Clabbertown, & Pennies for Pooches
the puppy quarantine area was ready for the new arrivals.
However, all the puppies were vet checked, then sent out
within 48 hours to a rescue out of the area that was set up
to better handle pups in quarantine. Whew!! The month ended
with just Clancy, the chow/BC mix neutered, vaccinated,
additional time permitted to find him a home. A Lincoln
POLICE case was impounded at the Cole Camp pound.
Allan
helped transport kennel dogs from a vet to another rescue.
Even if we can't personally take some dogs into our rescue
we are willing to help other rescues. We also had a short
time layover to help 2 rescues with their pull to safety.
Only one quarantine pen so only one dog at a time may we
assist with.
We
are also listing on our site some special cases. Kitty's dad
has gone into an assisted living facility. Kitty's vet is
boarding her while we work to find her a fur-ever home. A
local senior needs to find homes for her young dogs, is
keeping her seniors. Jervis, Chaos & Delilah all need
homes. Ms. Kitty & the 3 young dogs are on our site. We
have met all the fur-kids, vet records will be sent with
them. We also took in our first chicken, Dolly Parton, an
escapee from the truck heading to a poultry processing
plant. Since she has cheated death once we hope to find her
a fur-ever home to live life as a pet, not to accompany
mashed potatoes & gravy.
This
is a reminder for collar ID & microchip. The collar
should have area code & phone number at a minimum. Name
is optional. PLEASE register your microchip, then VERIFY 30
days later that it was done!!!

educational materials. Please check it out when time
permits.
Wish
List - We are so grateful when we receive those gently used
items. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Please continue to think of
us & our little Cole Camp/Lincoln pound before throwing
anything away that may be used for the fur-kids.
We
give thanks to each of you who so generously give of your
time & talents to help these fur-kids as they wait
patiently for their fur-ever homes. Rescue life is good, yet
a fur-ever home is best. We could not do this work without
your continued support. God bless you each & every one.
And
last, but not least, a very special prayer for those in
uniform keeping us safe & free. In the words of a dear
friend "How would we have the ability to take the time,
enjoy the right to do so, if not for the sacrifices made, by
our men and women in uniform? Perhaps today, they are
sitting in a trench, walking a patrol, in harm's way ...
Freedom has never been free: they are making payments. To
our men and women in uniform: Thank You!"
