Bereavement Counselor contact is Michelle at mzcgrief@yahoo.com if you
need to talk with someone who understands your grief. Way too many Angel
Dogs this month. Carol mourns the loss of Dina. Beulah was notified of
Darlene's trip to the Bridge. We had so hoped to have a 15th birthday
party for her yet Doc was unable to do anymore for her. Mr. Chips went
to the Rainbow Bridge with his family in attendance, a fully belly of
bacon, steak & chocolate ice cream for dessert. He took a last ride
in the hound carrier on Ron's motorcycle the previous evening. Mary
& Buck were with Penny, FKA Helga, then buried under a St. Louis
Cardinals garden stone. Many a baseball game she & Mary watched
together. Trina & I were with Otis & Lois as they sent their 17
YO Tiffany to the Bridge with Dr. J in attendance at home.
Foster

"Hoppy" & Jolly are with Susan, Alyssa with Gerry, Chloe

Lilly with Sid & Kelly, CocoPuff with Trina, Chia with Marti. Puppy
foster mom Judy V also has pups Elizabeth & Victoria. Puppy foster
mom Trina has pups Onchu & Earc. Cole Camp pound dog Custer was
adopted, all others were returned to owners.
Care
Center visits have been at a standstill with the heat & heat index
at record levels.
Marti
finalized the adoption of Snowball with Barbara. Georgie, with Searchers
4H, found a home after nearly 3 months of tireless effort by the young
people involved in the Cole Camp pound dog project. Other adoptions were
Bitsey, Tavy, Gilda, Sheldon, Sir Phillip, Omadala. Sue failed Fostering
101, adopted Heather.
Zelima
cooked up an ancient native recipe for those rescues & individuals
that helped her & her 7 fur-kids. She has been helping here with
some of the special needs fur-kids. She leaves Sept. 1 to return to New
Mexico. Paula with Polly's Precious Paws bathed all of the dogs the end
of the month so they would be fresh for their trip.
We are so
grateful when we receive those gently used items we ask for each month.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Please continue to think of us & our little
Cole Camp/Lincoln pound before throwing anything away that may be used
for the fur-kids.
Congrats
are in order for Trina, now manager of Animal Orphanage in Versailles.
She understands the importance of spay/neuter PRIOR to adoption &
careful screening to find a good home. She also has her Fetch N Fun
Rescue & Resort in Stover MO petfinder site up & running. We
wish her the best.
Sir
Scruffy McDuff NKA PJ Wigglebee came through surgery just fine. Please
check out wigglebus.com & also http://wigglebus.com/PJupdates.html
Petfinder.com
continues to impress us with their new look. Please take time to check
it completely out. They processed over 1,000 Happy Tails submitted by
adopters. Those inspiring stories are used on their website and sent out
to friends, partners & sponsors.
Please submit your happy adoption stories to them.
We give
thanks to each of you who so generously give of your time & talents
to help these fur-kids as they wait patiently for their fur-ever homes.
Rescue life is good, yet a fur-ever home is best. We could not do this
work without your continued support. God bless you each & every one.
And last,
but not least, a very special prayer for our heros here and in a far
away land keeping us safe & free. May God watch over them &
those that wait patiently for their return.
