May 10 is
our Cole Camp 6th Annual Maifest. Please check the home page for full
details, Noon slot for Pet Fashion Show, Talent Show, Pet Games.
We are so
grateful when we receive those gently used items. Reduce, Reuse,
Recycle. Please continue to think of us & our little Cole
Camp/Lincoln pound before throwing anything away that may be used for
the fur-kids. Saving your pennies? Please bring them to Cole Camp
Pharmacy, Maxwell's Woodcarving or The Gilded Lily. Those businesses are
raising "Pennies for Pooches" to help make life better for the
Cole Camp pound dogs. The goal is for every pound dog to be
spayed/neutered prior to transfer to another rescue/shelter. Adopted
pound dogs are altered PRIOR to adoption.
A
congrats to Ron & Nancy, now operating as 7 Bells South Dachshund
Weenie Ranch in Searcy, Ark. Please check them out, congratulate them
& check back as they "tweak" their home page,
www.7bellssouth.petfinder.com. They adopted Chip from us, returned for
another after he became an Angel Dog. They fostered for us, now are
doing rescue. All because of FREE computer lessons by Art, our Cole Camp
Web-master & one senior yellow lab from Connie of SWMOK9s. That
started us in rescue. Then the pebble in the pool of still waters
rippled out further enabling more fur-kids to be saved. Petfinder.com
put us on the Rescue Map & the rest is history.
Anna,
adopter of SugarCookie, a scared to death puppy mill survivor, is
offering to speak with anyone who needs helpful hints. You may call her
at Home: 417-832-1403 or her Cell: 417-597-9272. You may read about the
challenges & success of SugarCookie, NKA Prissy, on our Happy Tails
pg.
Do you
have a Happy Tail? All of our adopters do! Please send Petfinder.com
your pet's happy ending story. It will be entered in their monthly Happy
"Tail" drawing. You may win a Man's Best Friend Fun Pack &
a baseball cap from the friends at The Animal Rescue Site.
We give
thanks to each of you who so generously give of your time & talents
to help these fur-kids as they wait patiently for their fur-ever homes.
Rescue life is good, yet a fur-ever home is best. We could not do this
work without your continued support. God bless you each & every one.
And last,
but not least, a very special prayer for those in uniform keeping us
safe & free. May God wrap His Bubble of Protection about them &
those that wait patiently for their return.
