Cole Camp pound full to the brim with 5 dogs, 2 adults, 3 pups.
We are adding Judy V's corner to our newsletters. Judy V, as well
as the other fosters, volunteers have been handling all of the
April and May rescue duties. What a TEAM! Together Everyone
Achieves Much.
Here at Judy V's Corner we are still working on cook book for the
Rescue Me Feral Cat program in Montrose. We gave Rescue Me partner
Beth a birthday party as she is still recovering from a health
issue. We have also been working on the dog yards and big dog
house. Still behind on fixing it up but got one roof done and just
have a bit to do on the 2nd roof for the dog porch. The kids can
lay around in the shade, play in the swimming pools. We
helped our local vet with a Westie to find a rescue. We are also
still helping a local Montrose young man stay in school with
the help of the town. The entire community has pitched in to help
this young man as well as the school staff. My great niece
has been with me here at the farm animals
helping with the farm and playing with the rescue fur-kids
getting them social so they can be ready for new forever homes.
We welcome foster mom Andrea back after her return from deployment
in Guam. She returned with 5 fur-kids which she soon will be
listing on our site. While in Guam she spent her week-ends helping
at the local shelter. With 20 pets arriving daily, very few
adoptions, she has a better understanding of why some shelters are
faced with killing. Not easy and definitely broke Andrea's heart.
She worked feverishly to help with adoptions while there, held
those that were given the fatal injection, tears falling.
Wish List - We are so grateful when we receive those gently used
items. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Please continue to think of us
& our little Cole Camp/Lincoln pound before throwing anything
away that may be used for the fur-kids.
We give thanks to each of you who so generously give of your time
& talents to help these fur-kids as they wait patiently for
their fur-ever homes. Rescue life is good, yet a fur-ever home is
best. We could not do this work without your continued support.
God bless you each & every one.
And last, but not least, a very special prayer for those in
uniform keeping us safe & free. In the words of a dear friend
"How would we have the ability to take the time, enjoy the
right to do so, if not for the sacrifices made, by our men and
women in uniform? Perhaps today, they are sitting in a trench,
walking a patrol, in harm's way ... Freedom has never
been free: they are making payments. To our men and women in
uniform: Thank You!"
