Senior Pets for Senior Homes www.7bellssanctuary.petfinder.com

Charlie Brown is now an Angel Dog, Rainbow Bridge. Mindi has posted to his Blog & a Memorial link. We share their grief. http://fosterdog-charliebrown.blogspot.com/

We also extend our sympathy to Susan on the passing of Holly. It's never easy to lose the ones you love.

December began with an ice & snow storm that had us in hibernation for a few days. We were thankful we had electricity, thus the well & water.

Fur-ever Fosters still include Misty with Colleen, Ringo with Alex & Colleen. Foster kids Hoppy & Cinderella, Marcy, Bear & Krandal are with Susan & Karl. Brandy is with Carol, surgery removed one eye, next week surgery to remove the other eye. Rescue life is good, a foster home is great, yet a fur-ever home is best.

We ask your prayers for Marti, our Hospice foster mom. With the ice/snow storm at the first of the month, she took a fall, had complications, is currently in the hospital. It may be some time before she can foster again. We are in dire need of more great foster homes, especially Hospice foster homes.

Adoptions for the month were Sammy, Gertie, Penne, Courtney, Izzy, Loyde, Alexis. Patches was transferred to FlawDogs for public exposure as the young fur-man was annoying the resident cat without ceasing.

Two Cole Camp pound dogs went to rescue Christopher, an Akita mix, went to an Akita rescue in KS. Lil Hans rode along to Archie MO meeting up with Kendra who was very pleased with him. Douglas, the basset, went to Basset rescue. Douglas left Cole Camp fully vetted by the local vet, bathed by Polly's Precious Paws (new groomer in town) & delivered by Susan to Phil in Lone Jack to begin his adventure. Cinderella, Marcy, Bear, Krandal & Toots rode along for the trip to hand him off.

We also made our monthly trip to Jeff City, lunch at the JC Airport, transferring Patches out, bringing Mazee & Heather in, assisting with other rescue transports. TEAMwork! Together Everyone Achieves Much.

Our year end report to the MO. Dept. of Ag. will be filed on time. We adopted out 55 for the year, transferred 58 out, had 7 Bridge Kids, 1 returned to owner. We end the year with 25 fur-kids waiting patiently for their fur-ever homes. The transfers involved several dogs going directly from the breeder to other rescues. We are so full, cannot take some breeds, aren't fond of puppies at all as the old timers want peace & quiet. We transfer them to rescues that spay/neuter PRIOR to adoption & within 2 weeks so no accidental breeding.

Please remember to check www.petfinder.com for their weekly specials. Also check out their library for any pet related concerns.

Your continued support, whether financial, donated dog items, volunteering time with the dogs, spreading the word, or kind thoughts & good wishes, is the reason we continue & even grow a bit. Our deepest thanks as we could not do it without you. God bless you each & every one.

And last, but not least, a very special prayer for those in uniform keeping us safe & free. May God wrap His Bubble of Protection about them. http://www.christmaswishmovie.com/
