Adoptions were Buford, Tilly
(both handled by Judy V), Judith failed Fostering 101, adopted Bambi
"BamBam", Lil Joe’s shameless begging landed him a fur-ever
home, Onchu (handled by Trina).
The well trained volunteers were
operating the Sanctuary during December & continued through January.
They did a fantastic job handling adoptions, intakes, paperwork, phone
calls, vet trips, assist City Hall with pound dogs. TEAMwork! Together
Everyone Achieved Much! We took in 117 animals for 2007, 70 were
adopted, 8 died in their sleep or were euthanized when Doc could do no
more for them, 35 were transferred to other rescues. The foster moms
played a HUGE part in these adoptions & we could not do it without
their GREAT care of the special needs fur-kids. Several of the fur-kids
had fresh dentals, CBCs done on the symptomatic ones, vaccinations
updated. The foster moms took care of the trips to & from the vet,
Susan kept the bills paid. Foster moms moved their fur-kids about
between foster homes & most adapted very well to the changes.
Project Cinderella Valentine
Style for Whiteman Air Force Base concluded with more evening gowns

base. Thanks to all who helped with this project.
You may check out
7bellssanctuary.com as Susan & I work to make that educational in
nature. We need to educate folks to properly care for their pets which
includes altering to reduce this overpopulation nightmare we all face.
We also want to help folks do their best to find a home for their pet
prior to taking him/her to a shelter or rescue. Of course, obedience
training & behavior modification are also extremely important.
Do you have a Happy Tail? All of
our adopters do! Please send Petfinder.com your pet's happy ending
story. It will be entered in their monthly Happy "Tail"
drawing. You may win a Man's Best Friend Fun Pack & a baseball cap
from the friends at The Animal Rescue Site.
Betsy Saul, Co-Founder of petfinder.com has this message for us
"I'm tired of the same old problem. Experts tell us four million
pets will be killed this year — many of them because they are
homeless. Euthanasia to prevent suffering is one thing, but you and I
need to get all of the ADOPTABLE pets into loving homes. Please help me
in '08 by either fostering a pet or telling five people about Petfinder
each week. Together we can end the euthanasia of adoptable pets."
"We give thanks to each of
you who so generously give of your time & talents to help these
fur-kids as they wait patiently for their fur-ever homes. Rescue life is
good yet it cannot begin to compare with a fur-ever home.
And last, but not least, a very
special prayer for our heroes here and in a far away land keeping us
safe & free. May our Lord wrap His bubble of protection about them
& those that wait for their safe return.
