Our own Hazy became an Angel Dog, Rose is mourned by Sue & Bill, Sammi is mourned by Roberta. It is never easy losing the one you love & cherish. K-9 Bereavement Counselor contact is Michelle at mzcgrief@yahoo.com if you need to talk with someone who understands your grief.

Foster care finds Ringo is in Fur-Ever Foster Care with Colleen. "Hoppy" & Jolly are with Susan, Alyssa with Gerry, Chloe with Colleen, Jessie with Judy V., Carli with Judy B., Abraham & Lilly with Sid & Kelly, Heather & Luci with Sue.

Lucy the communicator visited the Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, then went to the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.

Foster moms Judy V & Trina handled the adoptions of the special needs fur-pups placed in their care, Dolly, Quigone, Ping, Mushu. Both ladies are fostering with the goal of becoming rescue. We couldn't be prouder! Wolfie is now a trucking dog, adopted by Darrell & Chris. Marti will finalize the adoption of Snowball with Marti when she returns from her California vacation.

Ol' Red, the Cole Camp Pound dog, finally found his furever home. A lot of folks made his trip to the east coast & subsequent adoption possible. TEAMwork! Together Everyone Achieves Much! Tater Sally, the adopted Cole Camp pup, has been attending Trina's obedience classes with her new mom. Trina offers one complimentary session to any adopted shelter or rescue dog. She also offers the entire class series with a nice discount.

We are so grateful when we receive those gently used items we ask for each month. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Please continue to think of us & our little Cole Camp/Lincoln pound before throwing anything away that may be used for the fur-kids.

Trina has made a couple of visits to evaluate behavior on some of our new arrivals. We are making changes as needed to keep the fragile ones safe & separated from the more active ones.

Over 20 local dogs were entered in the Zucchini parade. Judy, mom to Wabbit and Barb, mom to Willoa, Angel Dog, also Dixie & Snowball, set up a table to promote our rescue and offer water to the dogs. Shaded lawn was provided by Audra & Vic, in front of Rosebud's Gifts & Fabrics. Lucy was in the parade. BabyCakes, Bitsey, Bittsie & Puddles were there to represent the rescue dogs. Polly's Precious Paws outfitted her clients with red or black bandannas with paw prints. Lucy wore red!

Dawn with STAFF, Society for Treatment of Abandoned & Fractured Friends of Sunrise Beach, Trina & I held our first Petco public adoption event at Osage Beach. Eric & Chia went with us to show what great pets need homes. Dawn took her 3-ring binder of Staff adoptable pets. We took the petfinder pet list of our adoptable pets. We both had applications so folks could complete those. No pet goes home until their references have been verified & we make sure the fur-kid they choose will be suitable for their home.

Petfinder.com made some changes to their web site. Please check it out closely when time permits. Also, please check out Purina's offer of free dog food, 1-888-606-BARK.

Rescue life is good, yet a fur-ever home is best. We could not do this work without your continued support.

And last, but not least, a very special prayer for our heros here and in a far away land keeping us safe and free. May God watch over them & those that wait patiently for their return.
